Jonathan Zand

Jonathan is our Senior Engineer with expertise in marine deployments and subsea systems design. His appreciation and expertise in what works in marine environments stems from living in the coastal village of Kyuquot, BC for two decades.

He built upon this practical experience through Mechanical Engineering academics that culminated in a Masters degree focussing on ROV instrumentation, navigation and tether dynamics. He then worked as Ocean Network Canada’s Systems Integration Engineer, designing and implementing long term deployments of scientific instrumentation to the offshore seafloor.

Now at Ocean Dynamics, he enjoys working with clients to plan and deliver their marine research and deployment objectives. In his off hours he enjoys serving the community of Fanny Bay as a Fire Department Captain and growing good food on his family’s small farm.
